I wanted to share some information on the Sprinter.
-ESP electronic stability system
-ABS anti lock brakes
-ASR skid control system
-Air bags
-Three point seat belts
-4 way comfort head restraints
-Exterior wide angle mirrors
-Bi-xenon headlamps
-Tire pressure monitor
and many more options available...

A lousy day for photos but here they are:
1) Lots of seating
2) side latches
3) rear latches
4) Plenty of storage

Wow, so is there LATCH in every seat, and tether anchors on the bench legs? iWhat year is this one?

Looks like no latch in the center but yes on the outboard seats and tether anchors on the bench legs in each seating position.

I just looked at a 2012 sprinter yesterday. It has latch in the outer seats in both of the first 2 rows, tether anchors in all 3 seats in both the first 2 rows, but only seatbelts in the last bench of 4 seats. Tons of cargo space and I loved it!!

Do BOTH the second row (in your picture three I believe) and the third row have all three rear tether anchors, or just the second row? It also looks as though the third row has none, is that right?
Thank you in advance!

OP - I saw the shield car seat (they can be dangerous so all companies stopped producing them) so I did a quick search and noticed all of your posts are about the Sprinter. We would love to offer child passenger safety advice and information if you're interested. :)

ETA: Oops! This thread is hellaold. :p

The OP hasn't been on here since March of 2012 but hopefully someone else will come along to help you! :)

@Kel - Here's a link to a quick review: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?p=2323907#post2323907

That was before I brought it in for the $600 10K mile service. The supposed "diesel" advantage is negated by diesel's higher price compared to regular gas and the more expensive regular maintenance that needs to be done.

Also, we currently have 2 RF diono radian RXTs in the first passenger row. My 6yr old daughter has a FF carseat in the 2nd row next to the window (I don't remember the brand). We previously had 2 Britax Chaperones before I bought the RXTs.

With the RXTs in place, it is hard to get to the middle seat of the front row... You either have to go through the front passenger door or you move the front passenger seat forward and move the seat back all the way forward... very inconvenient for the front passenger.

Are you installing with the seatbelt or latch? Can you install the 2nd RXT in the middle seat, leaving the aisle seat open?

The middle seat does not have latch - so the RXT has to go in the aisle seat. How safe would it be using the seat belt instead? Also, my wife likes sitting between the twins :)

Latch and seat belt are equally safe if you can get it installed with less than 1" of movement at the belt path.

I might even speculate that a seat belt install is safer because a seat belt is designed to hold *more* weight than latch connectors. But that is speculation on my part, not backed up by any real information.

BUT if your wife likes sitting there, by all means, keep them where they are :) If you stick them right next to each other, you will have the possibility of them fighting about anything and everything possible as well :p

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been away for so long. You know how it is with 6kids! Since my husband started working the afternoon shift and arriving home at midnights, I hardley have any time for myself. My daughter just had her first birthday and I am now looking to buy new car seats for my 1-6 year olds. As I said, I don't have much time to do research so any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks to all of you!!:)
