We need a bigger car. DH and I are both against min vans unless we have to. We found an '01 Chevy Tahoe that fits our budget. Greatest part we're excited about. It has a bench in front so it can seat 6. We are expecting #3 but are pretty sure we'll eventually have at least 4 kids. I'm not sure if it has a 3rd row or not. It's an auction that FIL (auto body/mechanic guy) is going to go look at for us this week when it comes available.
I was reading in another post and didn't want to hi-jack the thread with an unrelated question: someone mentioned that you can't put a carseat in the front middle in Chevy's. Is this true of all Chevy's? Or could we eventually, if the car is still kicking around, put the oldest kid in his seat up there?
Any other opinions on an '01 Chevy Tahoe? I know it's diesel so the fuel won't be worse than what we have now with our Suzuki Grand Vitara. I don't know any specifics since it's in a yard and we can't look at it until it's available. Hope this one has headrests. We got our Suzuki the same way and the headrests were missing, along with the manual ... so, a manual would also be a huge bonus. Too bad the Tahoe isn't standard transmission or I would be in Heaven! I think anything we find from here on out will only come with automatic ... sigh, guess we can't have it all.
