Comfy Carry Elite broke, not sure what to replace with

So my baby isn't even born, and I just bought my comfy carry elite in mid January and on the weekend the plastic tabs holding the piece covering the gears for the harness adjuster, under the seat fabric, broke when my DH pushed up on the plastic (our other car seat you pull the lever up, hence the mistake) instead of down on the lever to release the harness adjuster.

Dorel is replacing the seat under warranty, but doesn't have anymore comfy carry elites in stock. My other option could be to wait and see next month if they get more CCE in stock. But Dorel is pretty anxious for me to return the seat so they can investigate.

My options are these two:

Which would you choose if you had the choice and why? I would prefer a lightweight seat, that was my biggest reason for going with comfy carry elite (that and price, which is moot right now). Dorel never sent me any specs with it (I have emailed them back asking for them).

If they are giving you the choice with no extra charge I'd go with the Onboard Air for sure. They are the same shell but the Air has a nicer cover and added SIP pillows as well as a better infant insert that is awesome for smaller babies.

Thanks ladies! I kind of figured it was the case but wasn't sure if I was missing something with the regular onboard.

Hopefully this one lasts!!!

A couple of the little tabs that hold the plastic piece covering the harness adjuster on the shell broke off when my husband pushed up on the plastic that covers the harness adjuster. He didn't realize it was a push down to release, rather than pull up like our other seat and so was pulling up on the plastic part. The tabs gave way and one or two broke off. Now the piece won't snap back in and lock to the shell since the tabs are gone.

Dorel says they have never heard of that happening before so want to see it and have asked me to ship the seat back (they pay).

Admittedly I am surprised it hasn't happened before because the tabs are really small so in my opinion aren't designed to handle much force in the upwards direction.

This isn't my picture but to explain the piece that broke

It is the plastic piece that is covering the harness adjuster there, which extends up behind the foam. It is held in by little tabs, and a couple broke when hubby pushed up on the mound above the adjuster. (I don't know if this seat in the pic is a CCE but is similar anyways).
