When you go to report a post, it says:
This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.

Which is fine. I want to know if I shouldn't report posts that are placed in the wrong forum, since they don't exactly fall under any of the above. Should I just wait for a mod to notice them?

That's the default text most likely. I'll try to remember to change it at some point. Until then, report whatever you think should be reported;-)
