Older Kids in a BJCMD?

My DD's just turned 2 and 4. They both really like to ride in a stroller. I can make my 4 yr old walk, but she would always rather ride. I have a P3, and she always wants to stand on the back, for example.

I have a Maclaren Twin Techno and neither DH or I really like it. Just too hard to push and steer with 2 bigger kids in it.

There is a BJCMD on my Kijiji for $250 (I'm in Canada, so $499 is regular price). I'm considering selling my Mac and buying it.

Do older kids fit well? Does it steer well with bigger kids/more weight? How about height wise....my 4 year old is fairly tall (although mostly from her legs), will she be comfortable?

Do people generally like the BJ more than the Mac? Is that a decent price for a used one? (I've no idea how old it is since the ad doesn't have much info about the actual stroller....only stock info from the BJ site, but I will email them shortly)

Thoughts, advice and help enabling me to buy what would be my 7th stroller  (until I sell the Techno, and my Tender Twin that is!) much appreciated!

I have a Micro double. My kids are 3.5 and 6 - 32# and 36#. The older one is 44" and he still fits fine but not any extra room IYKWIM. I had read that the Micro had a little more head room than mini, plus with the cheaper price tag...

As for how it pushes...that's great. The big handlebar makes it easy and the wheels are smooth.

The last time I used mine was last month with Nour & Zain, 3.5 years old. Nour is probably about 30 lbs. and Zain about 36 lbs. But when I had it parked, their 6 year-old cousin who is pretty tall and skinny still fit! It was still pretty easy to push, but not as easy as the BOB, but I was too lazy that day to take the BJCMD out of my car and pack the BOB up!

Austin is 48lbs and 44" with a long torso and fits fine in the bjcmd. He likes to hide under the canopy. It pushes wonderfully even with the 20lb weight difference between seats. I have mac twin traveller and I hate it, don't even know where it is anymore. It was hard to push with uneven weights and very hard to push with Austin my neph who are the same size.

So quick! You guys are awesome, and I'm loving to hear it pushes better than a Mac! I  my single Triumph...but the double just isn't doing it for me!

Is there anything I should know about older BJCMD models? This could be a few years old....were there any changes or downsides with the strollers made a few years ago? I read something in an old thread about the seat backs not having support.....is that an issue? Anyone know what model year that changed?

I <3 the BJCM. I have a single, but, I imagine a double would be of equal quality. My 3 year old, with a LONG torso, rides very comfortably in it.... I'm trying to add some pics for you. I know when ever I'm considering making a purchase, I like to look at pics first. This stroller has gone everywhere with me. From 4 mile walks to the park to all the way on my father's ranch in Wyoming. It's a great stroller. and I recomend it to EVERYONE! DS is 38" and 31lbs.

Thanks for the pics Judesmommy! And I love your sons running shoes! Pediped Adrian's are a fav in our house......so easy for my DD to take on and off, we just love them!

The seller hasn't gotten back to me yet. Hasn't been 24 hours yet, but I'm starting to get bummed that it might be sold and they just haven't taken it off. :( Fingers crossed.....
