Hi. My sister would like to buy the safety 1st side air car seat for her 1 yr old. It's on sale at Costco for 48 dollars.
Is this a good deal??

We have them for that price at our local Costco(s) too. It's basically a nicer version of the Scenera which is about that same price so I think it's great deal.

:yeahthatlove:

I was just looking at them today at Costco! My Costco even had one girly one in the stack. :)

Normally you won't see the Onside Air recommended much around here because it usually is just too expensive. It is a Scenera 40RF plus "Air Protect" side impact cushions. The Scenera 40RF sells for $50 at Target usually, so essentially you're paying $40 or so for the air protect cells and nothing else.

BUT... we recommend the Scenera 40RF for $50 all the time. So if you can get the upgraded one with the air protect for $2 less? Heck yeah!

I would buy one in a heartbeat but I need another car seat about like I need another hole in my head.

I think the air pockets are worth the $40 extra but that's just me lol, I would jump on that deal!

Sent from my iPod touch, sorry for any auto-correct typos!

I noticed at my Costco that the display seat only had the one RF indicator rather than two angles like some of the newer Dorel seats. Does that mean a 45' angle remains officially mandatory on this seat? I'm being tempted by it, but I don't neeeed it.

As far as I know, yes, the official word is that the 45° angle is still mandatory with that seat. But since it's not a super tall seat like the CA I don't think it's that big of a deal. And I also wouldn't sweat about putting it a tad more upright if I had to.
