97 Ford Windstar seats question...

I have a 1997 Ford Windstar that has two rows of bench seating. My problem is that the benches are the style that have no headrests. I feel it isn't very safe for my children once they're out of boosters or for any adults who sit back there. Does anyone know if I could buy a bench from a model that does have benches with headrests if it would fit? I have a friend that's husband works for a company where Windstars are what they use for their work vans and they take the benches out and don't use them. Anyway, any input/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried contacting Ford and inquiring? It could be fine, it could be the seats are not interchangeable or compatible to swap around depending on the variations in the Windstar model's floor pans, seat anchor points, and possibly where the seatbelts anchor to either the vehicle floor or pillars or to the the vehicle seats. I wouldn't do so without an official approval from Ford really. :twocents: I think contacting Ford directly would be your best bet for an answer to your question, although getting a definitive answer will probably take some time and persistence. Tel. 800-392-3673 or online at http://www.fordvehicles.com/help/contact/ or via e-mail at https://secure.ford.com/en/support/emailUs.htm
