Booster or Convertable

DS is 10 months old and only has 2 inches left in his infant seat so we need to start thinking about moving him into a convertable come this spring. I need advice on whether to move him into DD's Scenera and Radian and get her two Graco Nautilus or should I leave her in her seats and get two true fits? I really have to keep it under $150 for each of the seats and even that is pushing it but I can find some deals on the True fit that keep the price around there. I loved the radian but can't afford the money right now. In consideration we will probably have more kids so I am trying to figure out best bang for my buck.

Current situation:
Hyundai Sonata:
Scenera and Chicco Keyfit

Dodge Grand Caravan:
Radian FF and Keyfit

DD: 3 1/2 yo, FF, slender, 29lbs
DS: 10 1/2 mo, RF, average build, 20 lbs

I do intend to rear face DS and rear face for about 2 1/2 yrs.

I appreciate any help and guidance. I have been trying to figure this out for a while, but just not sure what to do

I might even look at an Evenflo Maestro from DD, as it sounds like she's pretty petite. :) No reason to buy more convertibles if you're just going to FF in them!

Buy 2 combination seats. Pass down the convertibles.

I would look at the evenflo maestro, new evenflo 300 and 400 (coming out soon) and Nautilus.

When baby outgrows convertibles hand down the combination seats and get oldest boosters.
