Chicco Keyfit on Airplane

Hi,
Next month we will be traveling with our 3 month old son on southwest airlines... I know his chicco keyfit is approved by the FAA but can you use it with a base on the flight or do you have to use it without the base? Thanks! :)

I honestly would not bring the base unless you want to carry it all the way through security. Baseless is just fine, you need a window seat for it though! No rear facing seats in middle or aisle

I would leave the base. We took our Snugride base and it was such a pain to carry through the airport both ways. It was way easier just to do a seatbelt install on the plane and at our destination.
