Another poster mentioned the other day that California's insurance code changed to cover both occupied AND unoccupied seats after a crash.
I hadn't heard that, so I did some googling. Turns out it's true!
The new verbiage mentions seats that are occupied or "damaged" or that was in a car that sustained a loss covered by the policy.
