Libbey Glass Recalls Fantasy Glass Bowls Due to Laceration Hazard. Sold to: Commercial customers for use in foodservice establishments nationwide from August 2010 through September 2011. In addition, 48 bowls were sold to consumers at Libbey Outlet stores in Toledo, Ohio and Shreveport, Louisiana from August 2010 through September 2011 for about $6 to $7. Also, 45 bowls were sold to consumers at Home Outfitters in Canada from August 2011 through September 2011 for about $6.

Purity Cosmetics, San Jose, CA is conducting a voluntary product recall of 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Cocoa Plum Eye Shadow, Lot#11B1. Use of this item can cause peritonitis, cellulitis, and bacteremia. Up to 300 units of this item were distributed to retail stores in the following states: CA, FL, NY, IN, TX, IL, OR, MN, VA, OK, PA, NV, TN.

Rite Aid has initiated a voluntary chainwide recall of approximately 85,000 tins of butter cookies distributed by Rite Aid under the Rich Fields brand name because of the possibility of contamination with Bacillus cereus.

Windsor Quality Food Co. Ltd., a Los Angeles, Calif., establishment is recalling approximately 11,390 pounds of “MOLLY’S KITCHEN MINI CHICKEN POT PIE EMPANADAS" that may contain foreign materials. The products subject to recall were produced on Aug. 30, 2011, and shipped to one foodservice distributor for further distribution nationwide.

Pure Italian, LLC, Watertown, MA, the US Distributor, in conjunction with the manufacturer and packer, Bio Gaudiano, Italy, is recalling Bio Gaudiano Organic Olives Stuffed with Almonds all sizes (glass jars and cans) and all lots because it has the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. Pure Italian, LLC distributed product at SoWa farmers market in South End MA in 314 ml glass jars. Distribution of other sizes and lots were made to Massachusetts retailers.

Foremost Foods, International, Inc. of Pomona, CA, is issuing a voluntary recall on certain Pangasinan brand smoked seafood products because they have the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. These products were distributed in the States of California, Nevada, and Washington through Seafood City and Manila Seafood retail stores. This recall involves products sold between March, 2010 and October, 2011.
