We are in Canada.
We are looking at buying a 1998 GMC Suburban and wonder if it will meet our needs. We currently have 3 kids RF and 1 FF. In 6months-1year we will have 2 kids FF and 3 RF - this arrangement will likely hold for another 2 years at least (with one kid possibly moving to a booster near the end of that time period).
I've read some wacky things about FF tether anchors in Suburbans and have a few questions:
1. can you put FF seats in the 3rd row? Both outboard only or one outboard and one center?
2. Can you have 2 FF seats in the 2nd row and still have two more carseats in the 3rd row? I saw a photo on here of a tether for a 1997 suburban and the tether anchor appears to install in the female end of one of the 3rd row seat belts (thus rendering that 3rd row position useless, I'm assuming).
We are running out of car options and are really hoping to make the Suburban work for us!!
ETA: I did a diff search here and found it will likely work but I still would like to hear from anyone who has experience with carseats and suburbans.
