I'm confused. The booster stats and the descriptions would indicate that these are US seats? Yet being sold in Canada?

Someone posted that on a facebook group I help admin yesterday. I wondered about it, too. Aside from the stats that are all from the states, the other thing that made me question if it was legit was the covers they show. Do we actually have those awesome covers in Canada? LOL!

Pretty sure the C at the end of the model number is for the Canadian models only. The U.S. models have the numbers that don't end in C I believe. So, Canada would have the C630C and the U.S. would have the C630. And the page does say it ships to Canada only.

The Abstract O's pattern is one of the new ones. It is available on the new Via that just showed up in Canada in the last week or so, so it wouldn't surprise me that it's on the True Fit as well. But I don't get how the seat would have a November 2010 DOM if it was just released...so maybe we've had that pattern at independent baby stores for awhile and none of us knew it? I think it's a matter of copy and pasting from the US page -- if you look at the bottom of this page you can see where they corrected the numbers...and yet this one has the error again, where the green/brown 'great outdoors' one appears correct. Somebody needs to beef up the proof reading.

I admin on the same page as Melissa and was a little perplexed when a member shared it at first. After looking over the page though and seeing the large print saying that it is available in Canada only, along with our lovely maple leaf symbol I started to think that it is just again a matter of someone C&Ping info without bothering to proofread. Think about Zellers; how long have they carried the True Fit now and they still advertise it as RF to 22 pounds. People just don't pay attention or care when they are typing these things up.

I emailed First Years last night to tell them. And to tell them to notify retailers who probably just copy and paste from their web site. Maybe someone will care?

Lets hope. My last experience with First Years was not a good one by any means. It seems their customer service was less than concerned about what I was calling for.

I'd hope that retailers would pay more attention as well, but I suppose copying and pasting is just easier.
