We met up with a woman I met a few years ago on a mom's board. She does home child care and is pregnant and needed to fit 5 kids in her 06 grand caravan. She wasn't sure if it was going to work and was afraid she would have to stop watching the babies she watches.
She has an almost 5 year old in a nauitlus, a 2 year old rear-facing in an evenflo triumpth advanced (yippy!) and 18 month old twins rear-facing in evenflo titians, and has a snugride for the baby due in March. We figured she would need at least one radian. I had mine and borrowed one from a friend in case we wanted to try two.
We first tried the radian forward facing in the back between the two titans, it worked! that would leave the 2 year old in the triumpth and new baby in the snugride in the captain's chairs. After taking to her some more though we realized she needed to drop the 4 year old off at preschool and she hoped to drop him off at kindergarten next fall.
We then tried the radian rear-facing in the back and it worked as well. It was a little harder to install rear-facing, a plastic piece was in the way but we were able to get it to work.
We had so much fun doing it!
