Question Canadian Manufacturer but seat not available in Canada?

Read this in my facebook feed tonight: http://www.iihs.org/news/rss/pr101311.html

"Among booster manufacturers, Harmony Juvenile Products continues to be a standout. All 5 seats the Canadian company currently makes, counting the Dreamtime in both modes, are Best Bets."

But only the LiteRider is sold in Canada? What's up with that?

(No, I'm not considering a booster for DD - she's still RF! Just thought I'd ask cause I like to support Canadian companies and this caught my attention.)

Yup, it's true. Hopefully as they continue to do well in the US they will be able to bring their hbb up here. I think I'd give one a go if they did.

Is the Literider the little one that Walmart sells?

That really is interesting that they're a Canadian company but have not gotten Canadian approval to sell their seats here, wonder why?

Yes, Walmart sells the backless booster made by Harmony. I've also wondered why the high back isn't available up here. I suspect it may be that the backless was a test to see how it did in the Canadian market? Or perhaps they were waiting until the new standards or something to avoid having to re-test everything?

I'd also seriously look at a highback booster made by them, especially if it's as economical as the backless. The lapbelt fit in the backless is great, and it would be nice to be able to have a light highback booster to have as a spare.

It would be awesome if we got the 2 packs like the sell in the US - They werent expensive either , around $50 for both from Target I think I saw once?

I hope we get the cute prints too....im DYING for a cowraff print to go with my cowmoo MA's lol
