Let me say first I like my seat.
I just saw a little girl in an infant seat (looked properly restrained) and the straps were not digging into her neck. Wow!
The Chaperone straps, however, tend to dig into my baby's neck (he actually cries a bit when I buckle him in, sometimes). I put them very tight, but it's a secure fit, nothing unreasonable. Is this something specific to the fit of this seat?
I'm just curious. I wouldn't do anything different if so but I might move to the convertible sooner than planned, if we can at least get through winter.
The harness pads, by the way, are way too big and bulky so that's not something I'm using, either. They used to make smaller ones but Britax couldn't send any of those; none left, I guess.
I don't know his stats as his 6-month check-up is next week. He has to be at least 17 lbs. and is probably 27 or 28 inches (tall!). Broad-shouldered, yes.
