GM introduces front center airbag

It deploys from the right side of the driver's seat. It will be standard on 2013 models of the bigger crossovers (Traverse, Acadia, Enclave)

From the text description, I thought it was an airbag for the front center seating position.

Then the first clip showed a ghost popping out of the seat, and I was all :confused:

It looks really good, though, now that I understand it.

I don't think those vehicles have front row center seats. But yeah, it comes out between the front seats to provide side impact protection to the driver and front seat passenger.

Do you think the control would have fared any better if it, you know, had a left arm? :p
