Halo Sleepsack early walkers--any experience?

DS has outgrown his medium sleepsack and I need to get him a large (daycare requires sleepsacks, plus we like them at home). I'm waffling between a regular sleepsack and the Early Walker, though. He could fit in the 12-18 month size Early Walker (says from 30" up, he's 30" and all torso) but it seems like they run really big from all the reviews I've read.

Does anyone have experience with them? Do they really run giant? I guess I'm just worried since now he's pulling up to stand that he'll trip or somehow hurt himself in the crib with a regular sleepsack covering his feet.

we've always used a sleepsack with my dd cause she rolls around so much. she's 2.5 now and havent used one over summer but she's never had a problem tripping in the crib with them on. i was always amazed how well she could walk with it on...it never phased her at all. we have one of the early walker ones but havent used it that much cause it is long enough that the part between the foot holes dragged on the ground yet last spring...i think it is meant for 2T and while she's been in 24 and 2T pants since well before then, it was quite large.
on the other hand, unless he's walking around the house/daycare in it, it shouldnt be a problem for it to be too big.

We bought one for my son after he started refusing to sleep with covers on. He wouldn't wear that, either. (He used sleep sacks his first winter without trouble, but he was a baby.)

They would certainly work for a kid who's willing to wear them. We went to fleece or layered cotton + fleece footie pajamas. We keep the house chilly at night and also go camping through mid-late fall, so he needed something to stay warm.

It did run big . . . or maybe my son just runs small.

My kids have worn sleep sacks until they were like 2 and still in the crib. They never had trouble with the minimal movement in the crib so walking wasn't an issue. And if anything, they kinda discouraged climbing out of the crib, so I liked them without feet that much more. :)
