This is a booster, with a positioning harness. What is so cool about it is you can add sections. Think legos. You can add to the back or the legs!

So here it is with the leg section longer.

Here it is with less leg sections and a foot rest.

Convaid makes it. You would think it is from the same company as Tomato, but it isn't. Convaid makes wheelchair. This is their first car seat.

Does it convert to a NBB?

Positioning harness must be used. It does not make into backless booster.

Probably because the purpose of the seat is to provide extra support for kids who are not capable of sitting independently. If a child can use backless booster, the Carrot is not an appropriate choice (much less worth the expense ).

Actually, what I was thinking when I asked the question was that a wide, leg length adjustable booster would be a good choice for older children in Spica casts.
