Pics of ds3 in the new Eddie Bauer seat at Target

I just have to say this a short seat. No way could a kid get to 40 pounds rf or 65 pounds ff. Ds3 is 28 pounds, 34 1/4 inches with a 12 inch torso height and just under 20 inches to the top of his head. I did not have a tape measure with me and he was not cooperating again today but here is a picture of his head in comparison to the top of the shell. We would be at right about the 1 inch line. The seat was in recline mode (rf mode.)

The headrest also pushes their head forward when it is raised. I don't have a pic of a child in it since the kid I tried wasn't mine. But here are a couple of the headrest raised. You can see how it angles the head forward.

Other than that it seems like a nice seat and would be great for a small child in a small car.

I wasn't sure if the rfing limit was the top of the shell or the top of the headrest. Has anyone read the manual?

Childs head is allowed to be even with the top of the headrest. No restrictions on RF/FF slots.

DS will be 6 in October and had loads of room RF but is just over 40lb. But he's a shorty.

Does anyone know if that seat has 4 slots or 5? It appears that there is a set of slots about 1 inch above the 4th ones, but the seat didn't have the manual for me to look at. If there is a true 5th set, my dd has several inches to grow in that seat. She also said that the headrest didn't push her head forward. :shrug-shoulders:
