Question Nasty seat question

My DD rides ERF in a MA 70 and she had a major blow out diaper on the way home tonight. We pulled over to change her and her diaper leaked out all over her seat. The only thing we could do was take the cover out, there was no way for her to ride on it, thankfully the seat still had the head cover. I am SO thankful that you don't have to completely take that seat apart to get the cover off.

Anyway, without the bottom cover, I didn't want her to just sit on the plastic, so I put a thin blanket down on the seat, is that ok? I was desperate, never had that happen.

There was also ish in the buckle, so I took that out and cleaned it with lots of water and a very mild, natural soap and then instantly washed it off.

So happy for such an easy to take apart seat!

I think you did the best you could under the circumstances. I would have done the same thing in an emergency.

Technically, you aren't supposed to use the seat without the cover....but what could you do in that situation!?

I think you did the best you could given your circumstances. It's not like car seat makers include a spare cover for you to have in your car fo the just in case situations.

I was glad that seat's cover comes in 2 pieces, I only had to remove the one, and the one I left was the head part and that felt more needed to me. It all clean and back together now!

I agree you did what you could. I have in similar situations put plastic bags on the seat, but then you deal more with the smell!
