So excited

I found a FREE 2 seater bench for my Caravan. I currently have captains chairs, but the big kids squeezing down the middle can be a PITB so a bench will give them space at the side.

So now I have replaced all the back seats LOL

My van is a 2002 Caravan, I replaced the 3rd row with a bench from a 2001 so it has 3 TT's and 2 outboard (or 1 middle) UAS/LATCH.
(I am keeping my captains chairs)

Cool!

I've never seen the allure of the outboard captains chairs :duck: Seems so much easier to get in the back right next to the door than trying to go in and maneuver around a big old seat to get to the middle.

A bit O/T but do you know if a 2001 3rd row bench would fit in a '99 or '00 Caravan (not a Grand Caravan)? Would love to make my dad's van safer for the kids... Would like to get 2, on to replace each of the rows...

I believe 98 or 99 till 05 are the same body style. Measure the out side tracks and take a pic, and I will see if its the same as mine.

I did the same thing replacing the 3rd row bench with a 2001 in my 03. Now I have the old 3rd row bench in the second row and 6 car seats between the 2 benches. I love the 01 bench compared to the 03.

Does anyone know if the '01 bench can go in any model year if it fits? My dh tried our old 01 bench in our '94 van and he said it worked, but I didn't think I could swap them like that. I wish I had known before we let the 01 van go.

It keeps the kids farther away from each other...LOL
