Total current price (not what you bought it for) / total number of years =x x* time left = total

And even using that formula, I'd still subtract some extra to make up for the fact that it's used. (A new-in-box seat with four years left is worth more, IMO, than a used seat with four years left. And the less time left, the more I'd take off. A barely used seat is worth more than a very used seat.)

Also if the manny has updated the seat to a newer model (eg the original Frontier versus the Frontier 85) you will probably get less for it as well. Unless it's a really niche seat that is hard to get, then possibly that wouldn't be the case but in general older models = less money
