My neighbor asked me for Triumph advice!

Sorry to get so lamely excited, lol. My neighbor has a kindergarten boy and a 3.5 yo girl (tiny little thing, really tiny) in the middle slots of the Triumph, she didn't want to move the harness up b/c it looked too high, I told her to do it, if she's above the middle slots (well, she's really tiny, but not freakishly small, she's definitely above the middle slots). She also said she had the boy in a no back booster at age 4, but felt bad for him when he slept so got him a highback (yay! so much safer!) and doesn't think her girl will be ready to be out of a harness that young, I said the older the better ;).
Then I acted like it was a casual conversation, said how my 9.5 yo can almost fit without a booster, I kept them harnessed till age 7, the law is changing to age 8, yes, that booster you have DOES go to 100 pounds, keep using it... (love that gentle brainwashing I can do... )

I did the same thing with my neighbor last month about rearfacing past 12mths & 20lbs. She was excited about the thought of turning him forward facing but I sent her the link on extended rearfacing and sure enough she is keeping him rear facing.

Awesome! I almost had my other neighbor convinced of that, but her RF seat was a baseless Intera that laid FLAT down, and I just didn't have the heart to make her baby stay RF in that thing (FF top tethered in a 2007 Ody ain't too bad, or I might have tried harder, lol)

:)

Yeah! That is terrific!

If only I could convince my neighbor to rf her 11 mo who is now in a Cosco high back harnessed booster and put her not quite 3 yo, who is tiny, back into a harness. They just moved him to an Ambassador to give his old seat to the baby. :( They don't think anything will happen and they can't wait until all of their kids are out of boosters, at age 4.
