2011 vs older BJCM

I think I've decided on a BJCMini with a rolly-board thing.

I can probably get a discount on a new model at a local stroller store, but it's still expensive, especially with sales tax.

I've seen a few on craigslist but they're older models, obviously.

I read that the 2011 models have a sturdier back or something? How important is that? Any other changes I should be aware of?

Thanks!

Now to decide if I buy new, or buy used and upgrade the back...

And if I buy orange now or wait until baby is born to maybe get purple. Gah! Decisions!

I've had both the 2010 and the 2011, and if the prices were pretty close, I'd go with the 2011 - I like the pe board (I had made a board out of cardboard before) and the seat sits more upright to begin with IMO.
PM me and I can help you get a discount (a friend of mine just ordered one for about 15% off).

well... if you opened that envelope you would know if you wanted purple now :D

I got mine for $80 through csn clearance. It is a 2011 model and had never been used. One day they had all colors in the clearance center for $110 even the purple. With that site you just have to be lucky though and watch a lot.

I got one from CSN clearance as well (got SUPER lucky) - though the day you are talking about it looked like all the colors were available, but it was actually just green if you clicked on any of the pictures (and there was only one available - once I put it in my cart, the other 4 disappeared). Same thing happened once with a g-luxe and a transporter.

I've sort of given up on CSN returns - it's awesome to find something, but such a fluke!

:yeahthatlove:

I'd get purple either way, personally. I'm still debating whether or not I need a double stroller but if I end up getting one it'll be the BJCMD in purple and I have 2 boys.
