issue RN headwings

I was having an issue with my RN headwings and called SSKJP. They issued a new set with instructions. Now that I look at what is involved in order to change these, I'm kindof freaked. Sure I could do it no problem but the whole idea of messing with screws and such on a carseat worries me. Anyone else feel this way or should I tell myself to suck it up and the seat will be fine?

Wait. They sent you a seat that you have to use screws to move the head wings?

Please tell me I read that wrong.

Sorry I meant bolts. I'd would have to remove and refasten them to replace the headwings they sent me.

Another member here had the same thing happen with her. I don't know how hard it was to change the wings, but if I remember correctly, it did solve the problem.

It looks easy basically take four bolts out, replace the headrest and put the bolts back in. I guess I just feel that when you need tools to replace a part on a carseat, where/when is the cutoff ? This seat has had many of the parts replaced already, after this basically just the shell is original.

I had new headwings sent to me because of an issue, and replaced the old ones.

It was not hard at all, I used pliers to untwist the bolt, kept them in the same order as I re-screwed in the new headwing. It seemed to 'stop' at a certian point when twisting, and then I tested it to make sure it worked and wasnt slipping. It solved my issue and wasnt a big deal

I would suggest having a second set of hands, one person to hold the wings in place, one person to position the bolt and twist them in.
