3 rear facing carseats in Suburban

I have a Chevy Suburban with 2nd row bucket seats and full 3rd row. I also have triplets and need to change from the infant seat to a convertible seat. Right now with the infant seats we have one in each bucket seat and one in the middle of the third row. It works because you take the seats out and can put the child in the third row in first. Now that they are getting to big for the infant seats we are not sure how a convertible seat will fit rear facing. All boys average 26 pounds. Please help.

I'm happy to hear that you know that because your boys have graduated from infant car seats doesnt mean you should forward face them. Props to you! I would suggest completely removing one captains chair. One boy could RF in the other captains chair while the other two RF outboard in the third row. You can bring all boys, diaper bags, etc. in the open space to strap the boys in. To load the third row boys in, you can sit in the empty middle seat. Just an option I've used and loved..

I don't know about removing a captain chair. I don't know if they come out as easy as a minivan captain chair. Maybe someone else will know.

I would put 1 in a captain and the other 2 outboard in the 3rd row. They will be able to start crawling into there own spots soon. I would load everyone from the empty captain chair.

That's what I would do, too, leave the empty captain chair in but put the back down. In my Suburban I do the same thing, leave the unused seat folded part way, then its used as a stepping block for kids and myself accessing the other seating positions.

Although I do not have a Suburban or triplets I can let you know what I do when I have three children in my Trailblazer ext. I normally put one rearfacing on the 40 part of the seat leaving the 60 part open to flip open and get the other children in and out of the truck. I then put the two in the third row. You can then either put them in from the 60 split or you can use the cargo area.

Is the ext. Longer then a regular trailblazer? I don't know the differences. My bro had one and a friend has 1.

The cargo area is huge in a subruban. She would have to totally climb up and crawl in to do that. I can see doing that in my minivan a lot more then the subrubans we have had.
