It seems that in Japan and Europe there are child car seats that revolve for easier access when you're getting your child in and out of the car.
So, for example, the seat is rotated to face whatever passenger door you're using to access the backseat of the vehicle. You place your child in the car seat without having to crawl into the backseat to get to the buckles and straps, then you rotate the seat to face the rear during your drive.
When your child has reached the max height and weight for facing the rear, switching the seat to face forward would be easier as well.
This seems like a brilliant idea to me. Why don't I see them for sale in the US?
