Pics of ds turned back rf....not so sure about this

I put ds back rf in a Radian XTSL and I totally understand why so many people are having problems with the latch strap loosening  Its just way too easy to access while the child is getting in/out and it only takes a gentle nudge and bam its loose. DS was not impressed and really was squished and I need to put the longer crotch strap on

He's adorable. But, I have to admit he looks a bit squished. Matthew looks so comfortable in his. His legs stretch out a lot more.

Teach him to throw his legs over the sides. That's how DS sat when he was RF and we still had a sedan. Is that your almost 4yo? He's the same size as my 5.5yo...with a longer torso!

He does throw his legs off to the side but when he does his feet hit the latch bar  He'll probably end up doing that anyway, I'll keep a very close eye on it

Can you not install w seatbelt?

Ok :) I figured you had thought of that, but I know sometimes I get stuck in a rut (mine tends to be forgetting I *have* LATCH) and need that "duh" moment.

One thought -- if you haven't already, maybe try using a locking clip. For whatever reason, that makes a difference in my RN center install. It's not the easiest thing ever (since you usually have to have it *just* right with the LC laying flat in the belatpath) but if you have some time to fuss with it it might make a difference.

Good luck :)
