Help. 11# baby hates the Chicco without the infant insert.

With the insert she loves her car seat.:thumbsup: Without it she freaks out.:thumbsdown: So Mom and Dad put it back in. They don't see why not. I have no ability to argue lately, except to say the manual says to take it out. Give me some ammo.

This is one of my daycare kids. Nothing is poky under the cover.

Leila was like that with the BV. I tried everything in my bag-o-tricks. No luck. I wrote Britax & they responded to let her keep using it as their info in the manual to stop using it after a certain timeframe was not based on crash testing.

Yeah, good idea to contact Chicco...there's no 11 pound dummy, and they might well say it's ok to keep using (fingers crossed!) (they know the headrest can stay in, only the infant pad has to come out, right?)

I'm gonna theorize here for a sec.

At 11 pounds, maybe in an accident it would cause too much compression on the insert. This would cause the straps that seem snug to become loose, putting the little girl at risk for ejection.

Remember that is just MY THEORY!

They can keep the using the head rest until she needs the top slots.

She may just miss the snuggled feeling. What about rolled up receiving blanket instead?
