need some suggestions...

My cousin's daughter's mom (lol) sent me a fb message saying that the little one has been pushing her chest clip down while mom is driving. She wont listen when mom tells her no, is there anything that can be done to prevent her from being able to push it down? Bella is almost 2yrs old and her harness is as tight as it should be but she wont stop messing with it. Any suggestions?

Zip a sweatshirt over the harness.
Make sure kiddo has toys to keep her busy.

distraction... lots of it... redirecting her focus to other things... which is all you really can do at that age.

stickers, books, soft toys, sippy cup, snacks, drawing (with washable marker) on her hands (this was Ruthie's favorite thing... butterfly on one hand, flower on the other, and she'd spend forever just playing with the butterfly being her friend and taking it to eat at the flower)

it's all about consistency... eventually, the child will comply when her mother doesn't back down.

Also, she wants to be independent... so LET her push it down and even unbuckle it when it's time to get out... and encourage her to pull it up and/or buckle it when she's getting in... and lots of praise for when she does it and leaves it there.
