Stickers are brittle and crumbling off

My 8/2008 Chicco stickers are literally crumbling when I touch them and coming completely off the shell (many without leaving residue behind). I didn't care when it was just the green round ones on the handle - but it's the actual large stickers with installation instructions.

I just called for replacement stickers and they said "No, it's not a replacement part". I was directed to the car seat specialist and have left a message. I love Chicco - by far, my absolute favorite infant seat and the booster is AWESOME. The belt guide coming in from a flat angle on the back of the seat is by far my favorite. But, I'm very discouraged right now.

I just want a package of stickers for the base and shell. Nothing less, nothing more. Even the Model#/DOM sticker is dry and breaking off. I'm in the process of taking pictures.

I tell parents all the time to call and ask for replacement stickers at seat clinics if they are missing - I had no idea it would be a problem. What the heck?

The stickers were coming off my first kf22 from my dd born in 07 and chicco sent me a new base, stickers on seat were fine. Granted I'd only had the seat for less than a year, but cs was great!

I'm glad they helped you out. It was the right thing to do. I just don't understand how replacing the base is more cost effective for the company than sending out new stickers.

I'm afraid, because my seat is nearly 2.5 years old - it is already out of warranty and now I have no way of resolving my issue. I can't get new stickers and I have no expectation of them replacing an entire seat for peeling stickers. It just seems so wasteful - it's in perfect condition otherwise. Seriously, my harness straps are fairly pristine!

I hope they surprise me with either a package of stickers or an offer to send the seat to them so that they can apply the stickers themselves.
