I rear-ended a fellow not to long ago (oops!). We were stopped at a red light, I was the 2nd car in line, he was the first. The light turned green, I went, he didn't. I ran in to the back of his car.
There was enough distance between us that I guess I got going "fast enough" to dent his trunk, and crush both of his rear lights. His trunk wouldn't close, and both lights didn't work. However, he did drive away from the accident, (police escorted him to the garage as his brake lights weren't working).
My car (2007 Ford Freestyle SUV) had bumper damage only, about $1200 CDN. The bumper was replaced. He was driving a Toyota Camry, probably about 3-5 years old.
Air bags did not deploy. Neither of us were hurt. Nobody was in the car seat at the time. I have a Graco Comfortsport.
Would you replace the seat?
