Maxi Cosi Mico Photos and more

I just thought I'd share. I played with my new seat today. I like the seat, but not the base. For the amount I paid for it ($50), if I had a baby I'd use it and likely without the base. The base has fairly narrow slots on the sides. In my van I tried latch and the latch's latch plate got stuck and could move no further, so it couldn't tighten all the way. Not sure what the problem was with the seatbelt, but I couldn't get it tight with the seatbelt either. I loved how it installed baseless, though. In dh's car I only tried the lap-only belt so as not to fiddle with a locking clip, but the base installed easy enough in there. I like the soft fabric, the tiny chest clip, and the smooth harness adjuster. The seat is also very light.

Looks like a nice seat. I'm wondering though if there's too much overhang in the first installed pic... for the 80/20% rule. It's hard for me to tell b/c I can't see behind where the belt is Sounds like you got a great deal on it!

I didn't like the base either. It was very tippy in my truck. I also thought it was light and loved the cover, mine was the happy flower

I want a Mico so bad. I have a Maxi Cosi stroller that I love and the Mico is the only seat it takes but I just can't justify spending $200 on a 22lb infant seat when I have a Snugride AND a Safeseat already.

Watch gaga deals. They've had several on the last couple of days that have been going for around $50ish. :)

That looks a nice seat.

That's unusual though, the way the seatbelt goes around it when using it without the base.

Is that a Dorel seat? The stickers look similar to my CA.

Looks like a nice seat!

Chrissy has that seat. With her seat belt set up, the shoulder belt kept coming out of the belt path, like a day or two after the install. One day I got fed up and used a locking clip. Now issues now!

I went out with the base today because it was sunny and warm:) Today I had no issues installing the base in my van with latch and seatbelt . I even tried the base foot in all positions to see if that made a difference. I'm really liking the maxi cosi mico for a 22 pound seat. (Since I have short babies that reach 22 pounds at around age 2 and prefer a convertible past 9 month, it's a perfect seat for me.)

I  my Maxi Cosi CabrioFix (the European version) I hadn't realised how similar it is to your version. Our base is quite different though, both the belt routing (it has a lock off on the base) and it also has a foot prop.

No. The designer22 and and cobi coccoro allow it. Not sure what others. But your regular Graco, Evenflo, Chicco don't.
