2000 Toyota Corolla

Would a 2000 Toyota corolla have tether anchors already installed? We were going to buy my mom's saturn, but DH is looking at a corolla instead. I looked at it and saw hooks that I thought might be anchors, but they were much different looking than I've seen before. There were three distinct anchor looking things, but they seemed to be made of plastic??? And they did not have the anchor symbol on them that I could see. I have to take the car to be checked out by our mechanic tomorrow and I need to bring the kids so any advice or insight on this vehicle would be much appreciated!! lol :thumbsup:

So... if they turn out to not be anchors... Should I put my 39.5 lb DD rear-facing in DS's complete Air? Or would a Nauti be acceptable?

The 2000 Corolla has 3 factory equipped top tether anchors on the rear filler panel. They might have a plastic coating on them or some sort of plasticky flip up/lift up hinged covers that some cars have to cover the tether anchors when they're not in use. :twocents:

Here is a picture of it. It's just the strangest anchor I've ever seen. It appears to be a plastic hook mounted to a bolt. The anchor can spin a little either direction. It's not directly behind the headrest, it's back and toward the center.

I guess it is the tether anchor since it is a 2000 and there are 3 across the back. Just, again, not what I expected lol.
