Went and played with car seats today!

So, my town just got a new baby store in town. Only one in Lloyd that carries Peg infant carrier, and all Britax car seats. I went there to try, L. in a couple of car seats. Decided that she rear faced to two, and re rear faced her again, but her motion sickness came back, with vengence, so rear facing is out of the question. I tried her in the True Fit, as a front facing car seat. She is on the Third slot, for a forward facing seat. She really liked it, and I like it also. The easiness of adjusting the seat, and the lock offs. I also tried her in a Frontier XT, which was her favorite. Showed her the pink one, and of course, she fell even more in love with it. She is on the second click up of the harness. She loves the cup holders, and the head wings, for sleeping in the car. I am most likely going to go with the Frontier for L. I talked to S. about a booster seat being just as safe as a harnessed seat. I found a booklet about boostering at the RCMP building, and read it too her. She now has an understanding of the booster. I have decided to get her the Britax SG, have yet to take her and try her out. But I got to look at it and play with the seat today, and am impressed with it.

Sounds like you had a good time. :)

Try your older dd out in the Monterey too if it's in your budget, just so that you get a comparison of seatbelt fit. It's easier to tell a good one when you've compared between 2 or 3. You want the lapbelt to fit well in the parkway without the SG, so if you'd have to rely on the SG to keep the lapbelt in position and another fits better, I wouldn't go with the parkway.

I'm glad the conversation went well with your daughter and she's comfortable being in a booster now.
