What vehicle would I need if I need if I need to seats 9 people? Would it have to be a 12 passenger van? I know that I can get an 8 passenger van but I don't know what comes after that. Right now I have a family of 6 and I want a bigger family. I plan on getting a new vehicle next year but I don't want something that won't fit us in a couple of years. We also need something that will fit a lot of car seats. My oldest is 7 and in a hbb and my youngest is rf in a skr. So what vehicle should I look at?

We have 5 kids, and we drive a Dodge Sprinter. We :love::love: it. l/s in all seating positions, moveable head rests in all seating positions. it ROCKS. Oh, and I can get 3 Regents across the widest bench in it.

The Sprinter is large/heavy enough to be LATCH exempt (vehicles over a certain curb weight, around ~6,500 or 8,500 lbs. IIRC, are exempt), but apparently does have full LATCH or a top tether anchor factory-equipped voluntarily by the manufacturer in some model years in some seating positions despite the exemption according to an addendum to the 2009 LATCH manual viewable online at http://www.saferidenews.com/SRNDNN/Products/LATCHManual/LATCHManualUpdates/tabid/54/Default.aspx According to that link if you scroll down some to view the Sprinter's info., '07 and newer Sprinter models have full LATCH or a top tether in some seating positions, but the '03-06 model year Sprinters do not.

Thanks for all the info. My husband has said he doesnt want a Sprinter (he drives one for work and says they are expensive to maintain and repair). So what can we get in an 8-9 passenger vehicle. We dont really have the money to buy something that is brand new. We need something used. I would say an '05 or newer.
