Is there any seat that allows RF above 35lbs?

:scratcheshead:
I see that the RF weight limit on most convertible seats is 30-35 lbs.
Is there a seat that allows for RF up to, say, 40lbs or more? Or is this some major faux pas that I'm just not realizing at 11 o'clock at night.

I think you'd need to get a doctor's perscription to use one...they aren't approved for use in the US.

Yeah, and you have to petition NHTSA for approval to legally import one, and they are picky, it has to be a fairly bad disease :(.

Not sure about ILlegally importing one....

Wow! They almost look like car seat's in the most literal sense of the word...like you'd have to bolt them into the car!
They're pricey! Whew!

DuoLogic

Hi!

I can see this is an old thread but I still want to write a few words here. I saw the link above and the pictures of the Swedish Acta Graco DuoLogic car seat.

I am a Norwegian mum, and I have the DuoLogic car seat for my two year old son. I think(hope) we can use it at least two more years before he gets to heavy for the seat. It can be used from newborn to 18(about 39 lbl isn't it?) kg  The seat can be fastened in the car with Isofix, or the cars own 2 points or 3 points safetybelt.

Why are seats like that not approved for use in the US? That's a real shame.

I hope you see through my bad English :sorry!:
