Cute cover! If they have that on store shelves they'll probably grab buyers based on that cover alone. Personally not a fan of the seat, though, but to each her own!

oh nice. Like. I really want one of these.
Yes, the head wings looks stupid, but from a safety point of view, Id think everyone who just posted would WANT a giant pair of airbags wrapped around their childs head?? wouldn't you? I guess I just don't get disliking a product because of the way it LOOKS, especially when the exact thing that makes it look stupid is a HUGE safety feature. It's like saying the lifejacket looks stupid, so you won't wear one. *shrug*

I don't know, I guess I figure if it's such a HUGE safety feature then make it sturdy enough to stand alone without vehicle support behind it. Otherwise, you just got a pair of nifty balloons on the side of your head, but make sure you keep that headrest up or they won't function properly:rolleyes:

I think it'll look adorable in the back of my van

Unless First Years ever gets around to making a not-icky-colored Pathway B570, because those are the only two contenders for that spot back there

It's not the large wings that bother me, it's the entire design of the seat - plenty of boosters have very large side wings.... PKSG, Monterey, Vivo, Probooster.... basically any booster seat we rec here regularly have substantial head wings. I do want my child's head protected of course - but the seat is just ill proportioned. The head wings are HUGE in comparison to the back/footprint of the seat. It looks silly. Doesn't mean i don't want my child to be protected, just means for that price, and for what it is - i will choose to buy something less ugly. ;)

Not to mention how hard it is to adjust that thing! I played with one in store last week. You have to take it out of the car, pull the plastic thing out, and then lift the headrest (like the Pronto). It is a PITA.

OMG!!! my top 2 seats in contention right now are the B 570 and boost air. :)
If they slapped some pink on a B 570, it wouldn't even be an issue

Cute cover.

But yeah. Those enormous head wings. Just, weird looking.

I'd rather booster with small headwings and EPS vs those ginormous wings with no EPS. :twocents:

I guess it's Dorel's conclusion that self inflating whoopee cushions have better compression/deflection measurements than EPS (which Dorel actually doesn't like, they only uses EPP in their seats, that I've seen, which is softer and more durable), and it's hard to make those small enough to protect the head in a forward-then-side crash pulse (hah, I assume they use the same one as Britax for their side impact, there's some faith ...I'm sure they don't, but after seeing the Britax side impact test pulse, and how these head wings mimic the Britax ones, it's easy to make the leap that they'd do better in a typical forward-then-side impact than other seats....)

But, um, yeah, they are weird looking, lol, I can't disagree
