sorry for the lowercases, nak

luca loves to be swaddled, and needs to be swaddled for nursing and sleeping. we brought home 1 receiving blanket from the hospital and have 8 others (I think 4 are kidsline and 4 are circo or gerber)... we also have 2 swaddlemes and a swaddledpod. but the only one that gets him snug enough to his satisfaction is the large receiving blanket we brought home from the hospital... the others are either too small for a tight swaddle or too stretchy. so where can I find receiving blankets that are hospital-size? any idea?

I've heard these are wonderful for swaddling. They're nearly 4' x 4'. That might even be bigger than the hospital blankets? I have not used them, but I recently helped give a friend a baby shower and one of the moms who has a younger child than mine said that these blankets from Target were really great for swaddling.

When my kids were babies, I had several flannel blankets that first a friend made for me and then I made some more of. If you buy a yard and a quarter of 45" wide flannel and just hem the edges, it makes a nice big square.

My faves are the swaddle designs! Just a huge flannel square. I can still wrap up my 18 pound seven month old. Not too expensive and wash up great. Mine have had so many spills and some blow outs and no stains.
