2012 Toyota Sienna

Has anyone heard if Toyota is planning to add more TA's to their 2012 model? I'm in the market for a new vehicle and prefer Toyota over the Honda, but need more than one TA in the 3 row.

I doubt it's something they'll announce. Someone is gonna have to see it in person and then report it. This isn't something the car mags/blogs report on. Motortrend did a comparison just now and it was pathetic. Barely better than having a person without a license try and do a car review.

I was hoping the person who works for Toyota would know, or could find out, or direct me to who might now. When I called the dealership they were like. "Huh?" duh and clueless.

We have not received an ETA or any info regarding any changes to the 2012 Sienna yet. Since the 2011 Sienna just came out in the 1st part of 2010 I would suspect that the 2012 might be out closer to the summer of 2011 - but that is pure speculation.

I think it is safe to say that they were waiting to get their hands on the new Odyssey before making some changes to the Sienna. Keep in mind that even minor changes to a vehicle can take some time to implement. I do know that they were taking the issues that have been mentioned on this board and by others quite seriously and it would not surprise me a bit to see some changes on the 2012. I would say that if you are in the van market and have some time to wait then it might be worth it if you really like the Sienna more.

We generally don't get too much info in regards to changes to a vehicle until right before they are announced to the public as well - but as soon as I hear something I will be sure to post.

We get email "bulletins" for any (and I mean any) changes that are being made to a vehicle - generally we get this right before the model comes out, sometimes the same day as the full specs for a vehicle are made public. I will say that the list of changes we get is a bit better than what you get as it tells us every little change made to a vehicle so we don't have to dig into the specs and compare it to the previous year.

I will also add that most sales people don't pay much attention to it, most have no clue about any changes unless its a complete new body style - luckily at my store they go over in detail what is changing so everyone is informed - I work at a truly unique dealership
