Suggestions for stroller bundle me type product

I watch a 1 year old 2x/week. I take her with me to pick DS up from school and we walk 2-3 blocks. We also like to take walks while he's at school, just to get some exercise and to get out a bit. I usually carry her in the boba on my back. She doesn't like to ride in the front, just the back, so I don't think this will work well come winter. My plan is to use a stroller, but would like something other than a blanket to cover her up, since I'm sure it would end up on the ground pretty quick. Any suggestions?

I have both the Brookspond Classic and the JJ Cole Toddler Urban Bundle Me. Although the Brookspond are very nice, I found they did not work as well with the Baby Jogger strollers (planned on using them on our BJ double and now they are just sitting in my spare room :( while I try to figure out what to do for our double because it is cold out there) so it depends on the stroller you have. I am using the Toddler Bundle Me for my 2 yo on our BJCM and it works great. I get lots of comments about how cozy she looks! :) And I've seen them at Marshall's and TJ Maxx for just $30. HTH

I picked up a basic $10 fleece one at Wal-mart today but think she might grow out of it pretty quick (it's really cute though, with a monkey on it). :) I have a $50 credit on diapers.com, so I was thinking about using that for a toddler bundle me. I was thinking maybe the Bundle me lite then adding a blanket underneath on those really cold days. I like the idea that it's waterproof. I have a Graco Cleo stroller. Anyone know if it would work?

You are in Iowa? It's cold there, right? I was surprised by how lite and thin the lite version is and the urban really isn't that heavy. Even with the urban, you'll probably have to add other layers when it's really cold.

Is the urban waterproof? I'll have to look that up quick. Yep, it gets cold here, the norm is usually in the single digits/teens during Jan and Feb. That's probably a good thing to keep in mind. :) I'll check out the urban too.

I bought the stroller clips and they work well, however it does come from China so it takes a while to receive in the mail.

Not waterproof, but resistant. Both the lite and the urban have a nylon outer shell that is water and wind resistant. http://jjcolecollections.com/urban-bundleme With that kind of cold, I wouldn't waste your time with the lite. I am not someone who overbundles and even I expect to add additional layers as it gets colder and it'll be nice to have the bag style blanket to hold the additional blanket in. Or you could use a good jacket, but I prefer not to use heavy jackets because I am usually getting in and out of the car. HTH.

I noticed some of the suggestions are for products that are just blankets, not bags. I wouldn't think these would work as well because they would have gaps for the cold air to get in. However, given my difficulty getting any bag product to work well with our double stroller, that is probably what I will make by adding a few velcro straps to a blanket (another less expensive option :)).

Thanks for the info! This little girl's mom usually dresses her with the 'bare minimum' during colder weather. Which is why I wanted to make sure I have something to help keep her warm. I agree that the bag would be the best way to go, over the attached blankets. I'm not one to over bundle either, but I'd like to go on regular walks with her besides just picking up DS. I went out with her this morning after leaving DS off. The temp was in the mid to lower 40's. Her mom had her in a fleece hooded jacket, long sleeve shirt, and leggings. By the time we got back to the car she was almost crying because her fingers were cold. We made a trip to the store afterwards so I could pick up a hat and mittens for her to keep at our house. So anything that will help, will be great.

What about this? http://www.carseatponcho.com/ (As a bonus, they're a sponsor of this forum. )

I love these ponchos, but I don't think it will be long enough to keep her legs warm. I've thought about getting one to keep at the house to use in the car with her & my son though.

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3739320 we just got this and I love it, we go for hour long walks every afternoon and it always keep DD warm

I think this might be a little too heavy (and it's a bit out of my price range). Thanks for the suggestion though!

its much much cheaper on amazon like 40 dollars cheaper, and it is about the equivalent of 2 heavier blankets

Wow, I'd consider one for that price! Where did you see that? The best I am finding on Amazon is $90. They have an infant version for $68.27, but that's too small and still only about $20 less than list. Thanks.

I'm using the Cuddle Care Stroller Blanket and love it.

Well, the only cons is it's not water resistant - but it's ok for us cuz we rarely do outdoor activities (hmm.... unless walking from the parking lot to the mall counts :D)

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=11988205&findingMethod=rr

This is the one I picked up too (except it has a monkey on it). My issue is that it seems a bit narrow. Plus I'm not sure how warm it will be for taking half hour walks in the cold. I think waterproof/resistant would be good too.
