Rear adjust question

Is it common for the strap length in the back not to be the same? The family I steered toward the Target On Board got a rear adjust DJG of some kind. No model name. It didn't look used, but the dom was 2009. The chest clip was on upside down and the harness throught it backwards. Also it wasn't threaded correctly through the adjusters. Anyway, the right is quite a bit longer now that I've fixed everything.

I distinctly remember that the manual for my rear-adjust snugride said that the straps hanging down in the back had to be the same length. But I don't know if that's the same with all rear-adjust seats.

Is it a continuous harness? Dorel uses that in some of their other seats. It's probably a Designer 22. I wish you could see their manuals without exact seat info.

No it's not continuous. There's one strap that goes from one hip to the other and goes through a loop in the crotch strap. Everything looks even looking at the front of the seat, which is buckled up and tightened all the way.

Actually, I think it must be continuous. I'll try to get over there to see it again. It didn't seem like it, but it must be. I'll work on it to get it even. Maybe I'll write down the info so I can see the manual possibly at another time. Baby will be going home tomorrow.

Yes, it's continuous. There is a sort of buckle that the harness goes through underneath the butt, which kind of tricked me. Then the crotch strap is connected to that buckle thing. It doesn't really buckle - it's a metal thing, sort of a cheap thin locking clip like thing that doesn't have any openings - can you envision that - and it's just threaded through there.

At any rate, thanks. I hadn't considered it was continuous, it didn't move like a continuous harness - I guess because of the buckle. It really is all ready to go now.
