I need a pool noodle...

There was another thread about this a few days ago. I believe the suggestions were pool supply stores, seasonal sections or clearance sections/aisles at big box stores like TRU, Target/Walmart/Kmart (probably very hit or miss based on my recent futile experience trying to find an extra pool filter for our kiddie pool pump after Labor Day here, and I bet you've tried that approach already ), or Amazon.com if you don't have luck locally. Plan B would be to use a tightly rolled towel if you don't get a pool noodle. Aha, here's that earlier thread: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=141673

I have tried those (thanks for the suggestions, though). And about 2 weeks ago, there were noodles, noodles everywhere...now I can't find ONE.

The problem I'm having using a towel is that it's a little longer than the CCO "base" and sticks out from the sides. Since I'm doing 3 across, CCO in the middle, with Montereys outboard, the towel interfers with the boosters...so I figured with a noodle, I could control the length a little better.

How about [ame="http://www.amazon.com/THERMWELL-PRODUCTS-P11XB-Foam-Insulation/dp/B000BQY9Z0"]foam pipe insulation[/ame]? It's the same sort of material as pool noodles, and is available year round at hardware stores, probably about $1 per piece.

If you can't find a noodle, and the towels you have don't work for size, look at WM or wherever for a different size towel. A hand towel rolled up (or two rolled together, if you need the additional thickness) may fit better than a bath towel folded in half. Or try folding your towel in a different way, such as in thirds instead of half.

Not sure if you live near a Burlington Coat Factory Baby Depot but we got a Sunshine Kids car seat pool noodle-thingy in the Baby Depot section of our for a few bucks.
