Would you move seats around?

It's been bugging me.

In dh's car, dd is outboard ff-ing in a GN. DS is rfing in a MA in the center.

I installed that way because by setting the GN on the seat, I thought it would hang over in the center. That seating area is shallower than the rest. But now that it's installed, I think I could get it completely on the seat in the center. The seat belt kind of sucks it back. ;)

Do you think it's a big enough deal to mess with moving the seats, or should I just leave them as they are?

Depends, is it a PITB to redo it all? If it is, then I would leave them. As long as her seat is properly installed, top tethered, & she is strapped in properly, then she is fine. However if it is a fairly easy to redo them, then I would redo it.

It's not too bad, but doesn't qualify as fun either.

It may be a moot point. If the little angel doesn't stop pinching his sister, they'll both be outboard so he can't reach her.

I would switch them next time you need to move the seats. I wouldn't do it just for the fun of it. Unless, of course, you *want* to do it for the fun of it. LOL.

I'm not sure if it will be hellacious actually. It will be tight, but it always is. It's not bad in this set up because of the base on the MA.

Dh likes me to keep it so there is easy access to the buckle for the 3rd seat and the MA being up on a base makes it just doable this way. I'm not sure I can do that at all with the GN in the middle. I may have to put CJ behind the driver so the GN isn't hanging over the split. Can the GN be over on one side? I know it can't in the front, but is the side ok? Dh's rear passenger side seat is separate from the rest of the back seat.

I keep telling him to just let me get a couple of RNs for his car and that would solve all the space issues. Plus, I could RF both kids and CJ couldn't pinch his sister as easily either. ;) He wants me to make due with what we have. :(

I'm not sure Graco's stance -- you could maybe call them -- but I would feel comfortable installing the GN over the split as long as it's still 100% on the seat. So, like -- 93% over its seating position and 7% on the neighboring seating position, okay, but 93% on its seating position and 7% hanging off the edge of the bench, not ok. :twocents:

Come to think of it, when my Nautilus goes in in the center, it sits partially on a neighboring seating position (split seat,) and I've never thought twice about it. Maybe someone else has a different opinion, though?
