Wanted to RF 2.5yr old...

Ok.. I have a petite 2.5 year old and am thinking of rf'ing again.

He is 25lbs, 33in and approx 13in torso. He is currently (FF) in an AOE that can RF till 30lbs.

I just went out to the van (Pontiac Montana) and changed his seat RF so I am going to need to wait till he wakes up to check his fit.

I am wondering if there is anyway to tether this seat rf'ing? He is installed in third row, driver side. We took the second row, driver seat out as it was hard getting things in and out of the van. Can I tether to the spot in the floor where the second row seat would go in?

Do you think I should pick up a Screna so I can use it longer and get rid of the AOE?

My DH is going to have a canary when I tell him that he is rf'ing again in my van...lol

Nope, you cannot RF tether an AOE. The only seats that allow RF tether are Britax seats and the Sunshine Kids Radian.

You can try the Scenera and see if he'll have more time. If he's only 25# at 2.5, I can't imagine him hitting the limit anytime too incredibly soon.

IIRC the AOE has a FF minimum of 34 inches (or is that American seats only??) you could use that as a reason for your DH.

Well, I figured out that he cannot fit RF in the AOE because he is at the inch mark above his head.

Soooo... I switched DS#3 into the AOE and put DS#2 into the TF. Both fit perfectly.

Now to make sure DS#2 sits in the TF and that DH remembers that too...lol

In Canada the minimum is 29".
