Headrests

Does anyone know if a 1998 Ford Expedition has headrests outboard? My cousins little one will be 26 mths when their new baby arrives in August and is already too tall to rearface in his RA. I really want to get him a Biltmore Apex so he can be harnessed longer, but I know it needs headrests.

TIA

Not sure, but should be easy enough for her to notice, though ;) (as opposed to asking her if there's an accpetable RF tether location )

Who is buying the new seat? Them? Would you be willing to pitch in? If there aren't any headrests I think I would offer to help them buy a Recaro Sport if nothing else: at least then you know kiddo would have a dedicated booster down the road, too (unless kiddo is heavy or has special needs in which case I'd push for a Regent or Kid-Y + RideRyte)

It should have. I'm not familiar with the SUVs, but I think the '98 F150s have them ('95s don't). Check before you buy though, I'm not totally sure.

See, I *think* my SIL's Explorer was 1996 & it had headrests -- but our 1999 F150 doesn't  So, I'm not sure about the Expedition....

I will be buying the seat for them. I found a picture of a 1998 and it had them. Theirs is an Eddie Bauer so I am going to assume it does. I am thinking to order one of the Apexes on Albee. There are three that are $99. He is not huge, but he is tall and he already weighs 30lbs. He turns 2 June 10. I think they are hoping to keep him in the RA until new baby needs it. The baby is due August 3rdish. The older one outgrew the Latch Loc at 5mths and they moved him into the RA.

If he's a tall guy, I'd look at Radian, MA and Regent rather than Apex, as they have taller harness slots. If you're buying the seat and the cost is an issue, maybe you can contribute. . .

(I don't know how tall the harness slots are on an RA.)
