Question Recomendations for convertibles in our cars

My DS is getting close to the limits on his SnugRide 22. He is about 60% weight, about 75% for height. I am looking for recommendations for good seats that will RF as long as possible in the following situations:

'03 Sequoia - price is not really an issue

'10 or '11 (not sure yet, will know tomorrow) Cobalt 4-door - again price not a huge issue, will not be used as much as the Sequoia

An extra seat that fits a wide variety of cars for Grandparents/babysitters/etc. ('01 Sunfire, '02 Impala, '08 Silverado with back doors that open when front doors are open extra cab maybe, '98 Accord, etc) - would like to not spend a ton on this seat.

DS is a car sleeper and currently is 26" and about 3" inches from the top of the shell in the SnugRide, so I would say average torso??? I do have to still add a washcloth behind the crotch strap because he is nowhere close to having his body touch the strap. It is a pain and I am hoping not to have to do this in the convertibles!!

Thank you sooooo much for your help!!

The convertible seats that are frequently recommended here for more rear facing leg room and a tall shell for longer rear facing room are the First Years True Fit or True Fit Premiere, the Sunshine Kids Radian XT or XTSL for 45 lbs rear facing, and the Safety First Complete Air (rf to 40 lbs). Be aware these seats can be outgrown by height before weight.

This site has a database that is not all inclusive but may give you some ideas. Put in just your vehicle's make and model, not the year, as many years of a vehicle are often the same, and a variety of results generally comes up. If you click on a specific entry, there is often more data.

There were only a few listings for my Sequoia but thanks for the link.

I guess what I wanted was which seats would you get if you were me?

Thanks!
