Please tell me if this belt fit look right on my ds in this booster MORE PICS POST 12

I am so paranoid about belt fit on my son. He just moved to a Monterrey booster, he is 6.5 years, 46 lbs, average height. What do you think?

Lap belt looks nice.
Is the shoulder belt coming out from at or above his shoulder? it's a little hard to tell in these pics. if so it looks good :)

Alighty...I put it up a notch and it pulls it right off his shoulder on the outer side so I don't think that helps...it is right above his shoulder, in the top pic the belt us coming through the red lead thing on the seat, the bottom of the red thing is about an inch above his shoulder...

It is okay like this? Is it going to hurt him?

I like the lap belt, but the shoulder belt isn't a good fit imho. It looks too close to the outer part of his shoulder. This is the exact problem I have with the monterey in my vehicles with my children. Awesome lap belt fit, but until they get bigger and wider it just doesn't give a good shoulder belt fit.

Does anyone have a picture of good belt fit on the shoulder? It is really close to his neck as it is I was actually worried about that, like right next to his neck now, he is so small shouldered...I have a turbo that puts it on his tummy b ut the shoulder is pretty much the same place...arg! Why is this so hard?

I think the shoulder belt looks good in the first pic, and like it's on the edge of the shoulder in the second pic. Maybe that's an optical illusion because of the glare on the skin?

Looks to me like it's been moved up a click in the second group of photos. It looks much better in those.

Wow, the belt fit looks okay, but boy is he narrow shouldered! Could you try a turbo instead, until he fills out the monterey a bit more?

Disclaimer: This is not best practice, this child still actually rides rear facing:)

Here is my average sized 3 year old in both. Although he is broad shouldered, the turbo is a much better fit.
