Cheap, sturdy changing tables?

Does such a thing exist or am I living in a fantasy land even looking? DS's changing table is completely falling apart but IO don't want to spend a lot to replace it as he's almost 3 and could decide he wants to potty train any time and we're still on the fence about having any more children so it may not get much use. DS is 38lbs though so I need something that will hold him without being wobbly. The cheapest I can find is about $85 plus shipping and that's way more than I want to spend though I will if I have to as the old changing table isn't safe IMO and I don't want it to fall apart with DS on it and have him get hurt. Are there any decent changing tables out there for like $50 or less? TIA!

ETA:White would be nice but cheap is more important. :)

I would check your local craigslist. I found dd2's on there for $25. I cleaned it and replaced that changing pad and covers. It ended up costing about $60, for the changing table, new pad and 3 covers.

I always used a low dresser, so it was much sturdier and still usable way after potty training. In fact, I still have it!

Just got one off of Freecycle here! Cleaned it up, put a new pad on top, (and I'll sweet talk my brother into repainting it for me). Has some wear that just needs a new coat of paint.

I checked CL and the cheapest was $75  He already has 2 dressers in his room or I would just get another from ikea. I guess I'll just have to scour the net for a good clearance one. I was just hoping to avoid that since I'm lazy. :p

Do you have a sturdy dresser at the right height? I didn't like the wobbly, overpriced changing tables in the stores so we use a contoured pad on a dresser. They attach to the rear with straps and screws in a non visible area. We got the Sealy organic pad and it is holding up great, but you could get a cheaper one for the short time. I have never regretted not getting a changing table. Or you could just use a pad on the floor. :)

Unfortunately, no. Both his dressers are about 4 feet tall. I ended up ordering this one: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007TJWOE/ref=oss_product"]Amazon.com: Badger Basket White Sleigh Style Baby Changing Table: Baby[/ame] as it has support under the changing platform plus lots of storage area which I need with CDs.

Funny thing, I found this http://www.dadababyboutique.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=964647 when I searched for clearance changing tables. Yikes, normally $750!

ETA: Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
